You can now apply for the 2025 Kawartha-Haliburton Renovates program

The Kawartha-Haliburton Renovates Program is administered by the City of Kawartha Lakes and is funded through the Ontario Priorities Housing Initiative (OPHI) and is open to people in the City of Kawartha Lakes and the County of Haliburton.

This is not a Highlands East program but is available to residents of Highlands East.

Kawartha-Haliburton Renovates provides a forgivable loan up to $20,000 for home repairs like roofs, plumbing, heating, foundations, wells and septic systems. Up to $5,000 is also available for upgrades to reduce physical barriers such as ramps, handrails, chair and bath lifts and countertop height changes.

Application deadline is April 10

Applications are open until April 10, 2025 and will be reviewed on a priority basis based on income and the type of repair.
